Support

Support Our Work

SOONER is an Oklahoma-based 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit organization. Contributions from individuals, congregations, and businesses fund the development of our curriculum framework, the annual administration of the S.T.U.P.I.D. Examination, the operation of our regional educator network, and the publication of our family resource guides.

All programs are offered at no cost to participating schools, cooperatives, and families. This is possible only because of the generosity of our supporters.

How to Give

By Mail

By Congregational or Business Sponsorship

SOONER partners with congregations, small businesses, and family foundations that wish to support our work on a recurring basis. Sponsorship agreements are individually negotiated and may be structured to underwrite specific programs (for example, the S.T.U.P.I.D. Examination in a particular county, or the publication of a particular family resource guide). Contact our Development office to discuss sponsorship.

Planned Giving

SOONER accepts bequests, gifts of appreciated securities, and other forms of planned giving. Donors considering a planned gift are encouraged to consult with their own tax and legal advisors, and to contact our office for the specific language and information their advisors will require.

Financial Accountability

SOONER is a Section 501(c)(3) organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Oklahoma. Annual financial statements and IRS Form 990 filings are available upon written request from any donor or member of the public. The organization is audited annually by an independent Oklahoma accounting firm.

More than 88% of SOONER's annual expenditures are directed to program services. Administrative and fundraising expenses are held below 12% of total expenditures as a matter of standing Board policy.

Contributions to SOONER are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. Donors will receive a written acknowledgment for their records. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your particular contribution.
